Hot Spots in Atlanta

Georgia Aquarium:

If you are close to Centennial Olympic Park then be sure to visit the Georgia Aquarium. This aquarium is one of the largest in the world with its variety of animals from Sharks to Starfish to Albino Alligators. They have more than 95,000 animals including 10 million gallons of marine exhibits. Our favorite were the Manta Rays so don't forget to see them.

World of Coca-Cola:

Right down the street from the Aquarium is the World of Coca-Cola. See exhibits of all the old Coca-Cola ads and memorabilia going back over 119+ years. Make it a point to see the "Spectacular Fountain" to taste a number of Coke products. Next there's the "Pop Culture Gallery" where you can see how Coca-Cola influenced popular culture. Be sure to grab your 8 ounce World of Coca-Cola on your way out.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History:

This museum is a must see if you are into museums. Check out the Argentinosaurus Dinosaur which is over 120 feel long. We also recommend the "A Walk Through Time in Georgia" Exhibit. Finally don't forget to visit the IMAX theatre showing a variety of informative films on a screen towering 5 storys high.

Inside CNN Studio Tour:

If you like to watch CNN then be sure to go on their tour. This one hour tour includes a guide who will walk you through the building and answer all of your questions as you admire their massive atrium. You will see the various large studios where the news is broadcast from as well as see a simulation of the control room. If you are lucky you might see one of the well known anchors wondering the halls.

Fox Theatre:

Located in Midtown, the Fox Theatre is a historic site to be seen. Opened in 1929 the theatres auditorium seats over 4600 people and hosts events from concerts, plays to ballets. Don't forget to sit in the throne when visiting the Egyptian Ballroom. Another must see the "The Mighty Mo" which is giant pipe organ that was built just for the theatre in 1929. The organ has over 3600 pipes and is one of the largest theatre organs in the United States.

Stone Mountain:

Only about 30 miles North, East of downtown Atlanta, Stone mountain is a dome shaped wonder towering almost 1700 feet high. If you try to walk around it you will have to walk 5 miles so bring comfortable shoes. If you would rather summit the mountain there's a trail on the west side of the mountain. If you make it to the top go visit the Broadcast tower where they are actively broadcasting.
